The Federal Reserves' sour outlook on the US economy has dampened investor sentiments which saw the US equity market slip. The Fed cut the GDP forecast and gave no hint if a third round of quantitative easing would be injected into the system.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed down 80 points at 12,110. NASDAQ Composite was down 18 points at 2,669 and S&P 500 index fell 8.4 points at 1,287.
