India remains one of the fastest growing mkts for us: SAP

While most IT players are facing heat in India for the April-June quarter, global IT software major, SAP, surpassed expectations with its second quarter performance. Speaking to CNBC-TV18 exclusively, its global CEO says that India revenues have grown a whopping 33% annually.

While most IT players are facing heat in India for the April-June quarter, global IT software major, SAP, surpassed expectations with its second quarter performance.

Speaking to CNBC-TV18 exclusively, its global CEO says that India revenues have grown a whopping 33% annually. Bill McDermott, CEO, SAP says, "India remains one of the fastest growing markets for SAP. India grew by 33%, YoY. Q2 was an excellent quarter for SAP." He further says, mature markets are growing in solid double digits. "Companies are still investing, if they get return on invested capital. The world is moving from information technology to business technology. IT vendors need to be leaner to be able to meet economic challenges."
