Elon Musk 's idea to have Twitter users pay for blue checkmarks seems to have backfired on him as a "verified" Tesla parody account made several tweets trolling his company.
The account, named TeslaReal, now stands suspended, apparently because it did not state in its name that it was a parody. It did have "parody" in its bio.
Musk, Twitter and Tesla boss, has said spoof accounts need to have "parody" in their account names, and not just bios, otherwise they will be suspended .
The account "TeslaReal" is scrapped but it did not leave without seriously mocking the EV maker and its boss.
In one tweet, it took mocked both the chaos as Twitter and safety concerns linked to Tesla cars.
“Everyone’s talking about Twitter going up in flames but our cars did that before it was cool," the account wrote.
Another tweet read: “We will be offering 10 thousand vehicles to support the Ukrainian military. Our cars are the most advanced explosive devices on the market."
There were jokes about Tesla's stock too.

But you can tell if an account is truly verified or just subscribed to Twitter Blue by clicking on the checkmark.
For those actually verified, there will be prompt saying, "This account is verified because it’s notable in government, news, entertainment, or another designated category."
In other cases, the sentence reads: "This account is verified because it’s subscribed to Twitter Blue."
