‘Verified’ Tesla spoof account trolls Elon Musk’s EV maker, suspended

Parody accounts are now appearing on Twitter with blue check marks, thanks to Elon Musk's new pay-for-verification plan.

Elon Musk 's idea to have Twitter users pay for blue checkmarks seems to have backfired on him as a "verified" Tesla parody account made several tweets trolling his company.

The account, named TeslaReal, now stands suspended, apparently because it did not state  in its name that it was a parody. It did have "parody" in its bio.

Musk, Twitter and Tesla boss, has said spoof accounts need to have "parody" in their account names, and not just bios, otherwise they will be suspended .
