Legendary South African pacer Dale Steyn was recently "taught" how to bowl without bending his arm by one of the US staff members during the T20 World Cup season. Steyn, whose cricketing career spans 18 glorious years, shared the video on Instagram. The staff had apparently not recognised him.

The video was shot at the 'Cricket Bowling Experience' in New York and in it, one of the USA staff members is shown explaining to Steyn how to bowl while another is seen showing him how to keep his arm straight before delivering the ball. The cricketer -- who has taken 439 Test wickets --listened patiently to the instructions he was given and appeared to play along. The clip has since gone viral on social media, much to the fans' amusement.

Steyn was also given a tip on how to bowl -- "the ball is supposed to bounce before it hits the wicket."

The 41-year-old had announced his retirement from all forms of cricket in 2021. ""It's been 20 years since training, matches, travel, wins, losses, strapped feet, jetlag, joy, and brotherhood. There are too many memories to tell. Too many faces to thank. So I left it to the experts to sum up, my favourite band, the Counting Crows," he stated in a note shared on X.
"Today I officially retire from the game I love the most. Bitter sweet but grateful. Thank you everyone, from family to teammates, journalists to fans, it's been an incredible journey together."

Dale Steyn is the leading wicket-taker for South Africa in the Test format, as he went past Shaun Pollock in 2019.
