Over the last couple of months, E-Commerce sites like Flipkart, Myntra, Snapdeal and Quikr have been slowly doubling their marketing spends, registering a 54% year on year growth in ad volumes for the sector in July. Buoyed by a 28% growth of active internet users in 2011, the Indian E-Commerce industry is expected to grow by a whopping 47% this year. On this episode of Storyboard, Animesh Das checks in on what exactly is fuelling the growth of these sites.

Shopper marketing in small stores as well: Shopper Marketing is a mantra consumer goods companies have been chanting for a while now. It began in modern trade outlets in the last decade and off late these companies have started investing in shopper marketing in small or general trades stores because hese stores contribute to nearly 90% of their total sales. Brands are doing everything from sampling, to making testers available, to reinventing the way their packs look to get noticed.
