‘Want to do podcast with you,’ Ranveer Allahbadia tells PM Modi. His savage response

Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented the first-ever National Creators Award at the Bharat Mandapam in Delhi today. While the inaugural National Creators Award ceremony was full of Instagram-worthy moments (no surprise, given the nature of the awards and the nominees), one moment in particular has gone viral on social media.

When YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia aka ‘BeerBiceps’ went onstage to receive his “Disruptor of the Year Award” from PM Modi, he told the prime minister: “Aapke saath podcast karne ka mood ho raha hai sir (I am in the mood to do a podcast with you sir).”

Prime Minister Modi’s savage response to his hint has sparked much amusement on social media.

“Chaliye mood toh har ek ke bahut hote hain bhai (A lot of people have a lot of moods),” he responded, chuckling. The response drew cheers and laughter from the audience and from Allahbadia himself, who took the brush-off sportingly.
The podcaster’s banter with PM Modi did not end there. After PM Modi presented him with the award, he asked Allahbadia to share some fitness mantras. The YouTuber responded saying people should do yoga, meditation etc.

“Phir toh log kahenge ye toh Modiji ki baat bata raha hai.. phir kahenge tum BJP wale ho gaye ho (Then people will say he is parroting Modi. They will say you belong to the BJP now),” the prime minister quipped.
