Apple CEO Tim Cook recently revealed why the tech giant releases new iPhones every year. Speaking to Brut after the release of its newest offering iPhone 15, Cook said it's a great thing for people who want it.

"I think having an iPhone every year for those people that want it is a great thing," he told the publication. Cook also advocated for the company's practice of allowing Apple users to get a better deal for a new iPhone if they trade in their old ones, suggesting that the older versions find use among a different set of users. "We then resell those phones if they are still functional. If an iPhone is not functional, we have methods to disassemble it and recycle the materials to create a new iPhone," Tim Cook added.
