In 2015, Honeywell launched the Honeywell Smart Building Score™ in India, a first-of-its-kind global tool to measure a building’s smartness. The self-assessment tool assesses 15 technology asset groups in a building that make it green, safe, and productive, based on the building assets’ overall capability, coverage, and uptime.
HSBS™ has direct and immediate benefits for the industry, building owners and managers, because it provides vertical-specific and building-specific analytics to help drive targeted interventions.
To recognize India’s smartest buildings, Honeywell launched the Honeywell Smart Building Awards (HSBA) later in 2015. Applications for this year’s Honeywell Smart Buildings Awards with Network18 group and KPMG (process evaluators and validators) are being accepted.
To apply, log on to http://smartbuildings.honeywell.com/hsbs_survey. On successful submission of the application, the facility manager of the building will receive an email with a link to an online survey.
The scores will be validated by KPMG and affirmed by an eminent jury composed of India’s leading authorities on energy efficiency, safety, security, and productivity in buildings.
Here are the categories for this year: Airport (with less than 10 million passengers per year), airport (with more than 10 million passengers per year), educational institutions (schools and colleges), social and community spaces (heritage buildings, museums, sports complex, metros, bus terminals, courts, prisons, passport/post offices, police stations, government buildings), hospitals, 5-star hotels (luxury, heritage), 4-star hotels and below, private offices (single occupant), private offices (multi-tenant), residential (luxury, more than 3,000 sq. ft.), residential (less than 3,000 sq. ft.), retail, and industrial buildings (pharma, manufacturing, storage and distribution).
