1.30 pm: Team Anna member Kiran Bedi on Tuesday criticised the central government for betraying the country. "Our andolan will not end till 2014 till a new government with good leaders is not formed." She urged the supporters to keep the protest non-violent. "Do not use wrong words during the andolan and be vigilant of people around. There could be people attempting to tarnish the image of Anna and our andolan," she said.

12.50 pm: Team Anna member Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday refused to go to the hospital despite falling health. "We have come here for sacrifice, not to go to hospital. I want to warn the government that they should not try to arrest us and take us to hospital. Consequences will be bad," he said. Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Atul Gupta said that he had advised Kejriwal and Gopal rai to call off their fast. 12.12 pm: Team Anna members Arvind Kejriwal and Gopal Rai have been advised to call off their fast by the doctors due to health reasons. Sources say that doctors have advised both of the Team Anna members to get hospitalised, but Aarvind Kejriwal has refused. 12.01 pm: Team Anna member Manish Sisodia also tendered apologies, saying that the media had been a big supporter of their fight against corruption since it started 2011. "Monday's incident is a lesson for us, I am ashamed. We have to remain non-violent. The government wants that supporters turn violent," he said. 11.30 am: Union Information and Broadcasting Minister, Ambika Soni on Tuesday criticised Team Anna for blaming media for the unfair coverage of their anti-graft movement. "Team Anna has the right to agitate but can't abuse or dictate terms on coverage. I was accused of not doing enough to stop coverage of Anna. I think media cannot be controlled. Agitation is about conviction and not about force or numbers." 11.10 am: Warning his followers to remain non-violent, social activist Anna Hazare on Tuesday took a serious note on the attack on mediapersons by his supporters, saying he will stop his agitation if such incidents happen in future. "Media and we have to work together to strengthen democracy. I request all not to misbehave to media from next time. If any such thing happens in future, I will stop my agitation, there and then," he said at Jantar Mantar. "If the media coverage is not the right way, we should not blame them, should introspect and see if there is any problem in us that such reports are coming. It’s wrong to blame the media. I regret that some people have misbehaved with media," he added. Anna Hazare said he was saddened by what has happened. "I apologise on behalf of my supporters and team," he said. However, Team Anna member Arvind Kejriwal blamed the editors of the media organisations for the controversy. While addressing the crowd at Jantar Mantar, he said, "The journalists are covering the protest but the editors of various news organisations are not reporting the coverage." He added, "The reporters and crew members of various news agencies have become a part of our agitation. They are not to be blamed. I request supporters not to misbehave with them. It is the media owners who are not running the news." "Shanti bhushan had said that media owners have to decide who they are with. This provoked people here. I apologise for the misbehaviour. If we have differences of opinion with the media we have to sort it out through dialogue. But I have to ask the media owners whether they are with the country," he said. 10.57 am: Team Anna on Tuesday appealed their supporters to carry protest in a non-violent way. They also asked the crowd to leave it on media whether they cover the Jantar Mantar protest or not. "Our protest should not worry about it. It is up to media how to cover and if they want to give coverage and what they want to say. Our fight is against corruption," they said. 10.45 am: Team Anna on Tuesday clarified its position on the attack on media by the Anna Hazare supporters. "We condemn attack on media. We have not come here to fight with anyone. Please refrain from any kind of misbehavior," Team Anna member Sanjay Singh told reporters on Tuesday. 10.15 am: Team Anna member Kiran Bedi on Tuesday said that she was not aware about the scuffle between the Anna Hazare supporters and the media. "I am not aware. I was not there. Let me go on site and see what is the feedback," she said. 9:45 am: Day 3 of Anna Hazare's fast began with his supporters at Jantar Mantar shouting anti-media slogans, even as the anti-corruption activist and his team were yet to take the stage. People shouted slogans like, "Na media se na sarkar se, desh chalta hai janta se (a country is run by its people and not the media or the government)." This came a day after mediapersons were heckled by people at Anna's fast venue on Monday. Team Anna is coming under fire not just from the government but also for targetting the police and the media as well. The Delhi Police has issued a notice to Team Anna Member Kumar Vishwas after they found him making provocative speeches against the police. The official of the Additional Commissioner of Police has warned the anti-corruption activists to abide by the undertaking given by them before beginning their agitation at Jantar Mantar last week. The police said that the kind of speeches that Kumar Vishwas made could incite violence. The office of the Additional Commissioner of Police said, "It has been noticed that Mr Vishwas made a provocative speech against the police from the dais at Jantar Mantar. Such speeches are likely to inflame passions of the crowd and incite them to commit some unlawful act which can be prejudicial to law order and harmony in society." Meanwhile, the Broadcast Editors' Association has demanded an apology for reporters being heckled at Jantar Mantar. On the second day of Anna's fast on Monday, senior Team Anna members accused media houses of bias. "Media is manipulating reality here for the sake of their TRPs. Channel owners are not showing the reality," Shanti Bhushan said. Within seconds, almost on cue, scores of Anna supporters at Jantar Mantar started heckling the media persons gathered there. It was clear that Team Anna is now blaming the media for their misfortunes, the same media that they had used in the past to build mass support. Team Anna member Kiran Bedi said, "The media keeps asking questions and SMSing me in the middle of the fast, should I take time to answer their questions or focus on the movement?" The Broadcast Editors' Association has reacted sharply with a statement which says, "We strongly condemn the attack on media by Anna supporters. The BEA believes that this is an interference in the functioning of the media. The media is discharging its legitimate duty of covering the agitation in a fair manner. The BEA seeks an immediate apology from Team Anna for the misbehaviour."
