Whether parking in malls, shops, restaurants, outside schools, colleges or even on the street side, with Park 24X7 one can maintain an e-wallet and book parking spaces anywhere. Parking might just get easier and simpler in metros across the country.
Operating in Mumbai, Bangalore, Ranchi, Bhubaneswar and Kolkata, Park 24X7 has over 650 tie-ups with private players for their parking spots.
A smartphone-based app Park 24x7 gives real-time information on traffic status, helps to buy paperless parking tickets, buy prepaid parking card and locate one’s car in the parking slot.
Talking about how the app can be used Avishek Tarafdar, Founder and CEO at Park 24X7 said: “People can scan QR code from parking signs using the default QR code scanner of smartphones. It will redirect to our mobile website where the customer has to enter their car number, duration and the price will be calculated automatically on the basis of that particular zone as per municipality fixed rate. The customer can pay on the spot from internet banking/wallet/debit/credit card. On successful payment, a coupon number will be generated.”
Customers are expected to share their coupon number with the operator for check-in and checkout at any of the parking spots.
“People can also buy/recharge prepaid transit card from the automated kiosk and different distribution points and use the card for parking. The operator will connect the IoT device provided by us in his Android phone, install our app and all they have to do is touch the card. If the card has balance, it will show on the screen and the customer will be allowed to check in. At the time of checkout, the balance will get deducted automatically when the card will be touched with the IoT. It can be used as monthly pass as well,” he added.
Customers can see the real-time availability of the parking spots and
can pre-book a parking space with the app.
In one and half months of its existence, the app has helped park 5000 plus cars and collected parking fees of Rs 16.7 lakh.
