Ready to discuss all issues in session, says PK Bansal

PK Bansal, Parliamentary Affairs Minister and Water Resources Minister urges the government to bring forth legislations which it intends to take up for discussions.

Despite an impressive 32 new bills slated to be introduced in the upcoming monsoon session of parliament beginning August 1, the fact remains that crucial economic reforms including PFRDA bill and the GST constitutional amendment bill among others are not slated for the agenda.

The reason: MPs have not yet completed their scrutiny of these bills. What however is on the agenda is the Companies bill, which is slated to get the cabinet nod early next week.

According to PK Bansal, Parliamentary Affairs Minister and Water Resources Minister said that the Parliament, the government wishes to bring its proposals to the parliament via which they will be carried out. Therefore, he urges the government to bring forth legislations which it intends to take up for discussions. He also adds that the Parliament is ready to discuss any and all matters that the government wishes to do so.
