Averting new Singurs: NC Saxena wants yes from 70% farmers

The national advisory council headed by Sonia Gandhi will meet on the 25th of May to consider the recommendations of its working group on the land acquisition policy. The NAC's recommendations are likely to find muster with the government as it finalises the Land Acquisition Bill, which is slated to be tabled in the monsoon session of parliament.
