The last round of the Indo-Pak Foreign Secretary level talks start on Wednesday and New Delhi is likely to up the ante on the 26/11 probe.

Ahead of the talks, India is setting the stage to talk tough on terror and the 26/11 investigations. Sources say India will push for Pakistani action. India is expected to hand over copies of 26/11 handler Abu Jundal's Pakistani passport and his ID as a direct proof that Jundal had state help. India will also renew its demand for voice samples of the 26/11 accused that could bolster Jundal's testimony. And it will also push once again for Pakistan to speed up the 26/11 trial and pursue suspected mastermind Hafiz Saeed. But the two-day talks between Foreign Secretary Jalil Abbas Jilani and his Indian counterpart Ranjan Mathai will focus on several other issues, including nuclear CBMS and India's demand to free Sarabjit Singh. Pakistan has set the stage with Jilani choosing to meet separatist Kashmiri leaders, right at the start of his visit. Pakistan Foreign Secretary Jalil Abbas Jilani told CNN-IBN that Kashmir is a vital issue. It’s a fact that no other issue can be solved until Kashmir issue is solved. Trade will also not grow. India and Pakistan will try to agree on banking and cross LoC trade related Confidence Building Measures (CBMs) but no progress is expected on resolving the dispute as long as Indian concerns on terrorism remain unaddressed. And Abu Jundal's arrest only making it harder for Pakistan to ignore those concerns.
