Assam CM mourns death of Arjun Singh

Assam Chief Minister, Tarun Gogoi on Monday mourned the death of veteran Congress leader and former Union Minister Arjun Singh.

In a condolence message, Gogoi said, "an era has come to an end with the passing away of the veteran leader with whom I had worked closely".

"A man of political dexterity and administrative acumen, he served in various capacities, including as Madhya Pradesh chief minister with elan and finesse. His death is an irreparable loss to the nation", Gogoi said.

The 81-year-old Congress leader died yesterday.
