A 24-year-old software developer in Bengaluru has wowed his fraternity and made his parents "very happy" after he recently bagged a Rs 60 lakh per annum (LPA) job with Uber. Chitransh Anand, an MNNIT Allahabad alumnus, has worked with Oracle for two years and had recently started looking for better job opportunities when he came across the job listing.

"I would go through the discussion boards on Leetcode and Levels; it's where I found out about the vacancy at Uber and decided to apply for it," Anand told Moneycontrol. He also put in seven months of research, often spending sleepless nights, to prepare for his interviews. "There were four rounds, two of them were tricky and the questions asked were beyond the scope of what I had studied but I still managed to crack it." He will be joining Uber late next month.

When asked about his family's reaction to the news, Anand said that his parents are extremely proud of him, especially his mother. "They were very happy. My mom lives with me in Bengaluru and she has seen my sleepless nights and late-night studies so she was very happy. They also told me to focus on my health now," he said.

Anand is originally from Mughalsarai near Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh and has been calling Bengaluru home after he landed the Rs 40 LPA-salary job with Oracle in 2022.
