Sony India has introduced a limited-time "Summer Sale" offer on the newly launched PlayStation 5 Slim consoles. During this promotional period, customers can purchase the PS5 Slim models at a discounted price of Rs 49,990, down from the usual retail price of Rs 54,990 for the Standard Disc Edition.

The Sony PlayStation Summer Sale will run from May 1 to May 14, 2024, or until stocks last. The discounted pricing is applicable to the Standard Disc Edition of the PS5 Slim. The PS5 Slim Digital Edition will be available at its original price of Rs 44,990. Customers can avail of these promotional prices across various online and offline retailers, including Amazon, Croma, Flipkart, Reliance, Sony Center, Vijay Sales, and other participating stores.
Earlier this month, PlayStation teamed up with Blinkit to offer ultra-fast deliveries of PS5 Slim consoles within 10 minutes in select cities. Customers can take advantage of the discounted prices on Blinkit as well.
What's new with Sony PlayStation 5 Slim
The PlayStation 5 Slim models retain the same powerful hardware as the standard PS5 but feature a 30 percent reduction in overall volume and up to 24 percent less weight. They come equipped with a generous 1TB of internal storage, a notable upgrade from the 825GB in the current models.
Aesthetically, the PS5 Slim boasts a sleek design with four separate cover panels, a glossy top portion, and a matte bottom. It also features dual USB-C ports at the front, replacing the single USB-C and USB-A ports found on the current PS5.
The Digital Edition offers users the flexibility to convert to a disc-compatible version by adding an optional disc drive accessory. Additionally, the internal storage can be expanded using external SSDs, providing ample space for gaming libraries and downloads.
