Sony PS5 Launch Event 2020: Sony has finally taken the lid off the PlayStation 5. After more than an hour of upcoming PS5 game announcements, the company concluded the event showcasing the design of the PlayStation 5. Sony also showcased several new PS5 accessories, including a DualSense charging station, a new HD camera, a Pulse 3D wireless headset, and a media remote.
Just like the Xbox Series X, the PlayStation 5 is also designed to stand vertically or can be placed horizontally underneath a TV. There is a new white and black finish to match that of the controller. The PS5 comes in two variants: A Digital Edition and a Standard Edition with a 4K Blu-ray drive. The Sony PS5 Digital Edition looks thinner than the regular model with the optical drive. The top of the console appears to include vents for heat dissipation, while the USB ports sit on the front. Apart from design, other details including the price of the PS5 and release date haven’t been provided.
With that, it is a wrap. Thank you for tuning into our live coverage of Sony PlayStation 5 reveal event. For more news, views and updates stay logged on to Moneycontrol.com.
