Google pays Apple 36 percent of all advertisement revenues

The figure had been revealed by University of Chicago economics professor, Kevin Murphy, who was responding to questions from Alphabet Inc.'s lead attorney.

Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, confirmed that the company pays Apple 36 percent of all its advertisement revenue.

Pichai was testifying in a separate case, owing to a lawsuit filed by Unreal engine and Fortnite maker, Epic Games. The proceedings revealed the figure to court.

According to a report by CNBC, Pichai said that Google competes fiercely with Apple, and has overall spent $49 billion in traffic acquisition cost for 2022. When asked why Google didn't pay as much to Samsung, its Android hardware partner, Pichai said that while he didn't know the terms for certain, he confirmed that it was possible.
