CES 2024: Samsung debuts transparent microLED displays

Samsung has shown off the world's first transparent Micro LED displays at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024, at the Las Vegas convention centre.

The screens themselves look like transparent panes of glass with extremely small Micro LEDs embedded in them, using a precision manufacturing process that eliminates seams and light refractions. The process also allows for LED operation chip circuits to be directly embedded in glass.

This leads to an odd uncanny valley of images that appear as though they are holograms floating in mid-air.
