CES 2024: Amazon announces Matter casting for Fire TV and Echo Show, partners with Siemens for generative AI

Amazon has also partnered with Panasonic for smart TVs with built-in Fire TV. The company announced two new models - Panasonic Z95A and Z93A - that come with Fire TV baked in.

During the ongoing Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Amazon announced it was partnering with Siemens to leverage generative artificial intelligence (AI), and also confirmed the release of Matter casting support for Fire TV and Echo Show.

Siemens will integrate Amazon Bedrock - a service that offers multiple high-performing foundational models from various AI companies - into Mendix, a low-code platform for developers, the company said.

Customers will be able to pick and choose their AI model according to their needs and integrate it directly into their workflows. Amazon says this will make software development simpler, "faster, and more efficient—allowing users to incorporate generative AI functions in just a few clicks."
