Critics of Microsoft's latest operating system are steadily being forced to reconsider their words. The company recently announced that its Windows 8 Store now stocks more than 35,000 apps. According to The Next Web, the number of apps available for the operating system has risen by 14,000 over the last month. Going by the numbers, Microsoft is adding applications to the Windows 8 Store at a rate of 415 apps per day.While this does point to a young but thriving ecosystem, it is well worth noting that the number of apps is still no indication of the quality of the apps. While you may have many options to choose from, they might not necessarily be very good options. This is similar to the problems faced by Android in its early days. While the OS had a large number of free apps, they weren't of the same quality as iOS apps. Click here for full story
