It was initially believed that LG would be manufacturing the displays for the upcoming iPad 3 and these displays would feature Retina Display, the same pixel density found on the iPhone. As of recently, LG along with Samsung were the panel manufacturers set to produce the displays for the upcoming Apple tablet that could be announced by the first quarter of next year.
