At least eight people were killed and several others injured after a white Hyundai i20 exploded near Gate No. 1 of Delhi’s Red Fort Metro Station on Monday evening, in what investigators suspect to be a terror attack.

According to Delhi Police, CCTV footage showed the car parked near the Red Fort for over three hours before the explosion. The vehicle, bearing a Haryana number plate, entered a parking lot near the Sunehri Masjid around 3:19 p.m. and exited at 6:48 p.m. Minutes later, at approximately 6:52 p.m., it exploded near the Gauri Shankar and Jain temples.
