Karnataka restores property registration site after cyber attack

Karnataka Stamps and Registration Department said that Kaveri 2.0 application, which had been impacted by a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack for the past week, has now been fully restored.

Karnataka Stamps and Registration Department on February 5 said that the Kaveri 2.0 application, which had been affected by a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack for the past week, has now been completely restored.

Property registration, document services, and citizen services like downloading Encumbrance Certificates (ECs) through the Kaveri 2.0 portal.

"The attack had disrupted registrations and the issuance of Encumbrance Certificates (EC) and Certified Copies (CC), which led to a decline in revenue collection. In response, a range of enhanced security measures have been implemented to mitigate future risks, and the e-Governance department is continuously monitoring the application to ensure its security," said Inspector General of Stamps and Registration KV Dayananda.
