Voting will conclude for the ongoing elections on October 5 after the single-phase polling in Haryana.
Jammu and Kashmir has already voted in three phases on September 18, September 25 and October 1. The results for both J&K and Haryana will be declared on October 8.
All eyes will now be on the exit poll predictions for J&K and Haryana, which will be released after the polling ends in Haryana.

When are Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir exit polls?
The Election Commission guidelines say that TV channels and publishers cannot release the exit poll predictions till the voting is concluded in the ongoing election cycle.
Thus, exit poll predictions are expected to be released only after 6pm when the voting officially ends in Haryana.
Several pollsters are expected to predict the outcome of the elections in Haryana and Jammu & Kashmir.
The exit poll predictions will be keenly watched since J&K is voting after a span of nearly 10 years. Moreover, it will be the first elections in the Union Territory since the abrogation of Article 370.
Even for Haryana, the predictions will be interesting since the 2024 election was a closely fought battle between the ruling BJP, opposition Congress and other regional players.
Haryana exit polls in 2019
In the previous assembly elections, a poll of six exit polls predicted that BJP would comfortably form the government in Haryana. The exit polls predicted around 67 seats for BJP in the 90-member assembly and just 13 for Congress.
However, the predictions were off the mark since BJP won 40 seats and could not reach a majority figure on its own.
In the 2019 Haryana polls, the BJP had won 40 seats and the Congress 31. The BJP formed the government with the support of JJP while most Independents had also extended support to it then. However, JJP's post-poll tie-up with the BJP ended after the saffron party replaced Manohar Lal Khattar with Nayab Singh Saini as chief minister in March. PTI SUN CHS VSD ZMN
Jammu & Kashmir exit polls in 2014
In J&K, the exit polls in 2014 had correctly predicted a hung assembly. The CVoter exit poll said that BJP would get 27-33 seats, PDP would get 32-38, and National Conference (NC) 8-14. After the results were declared, PDP emerged as the single largest party with 28 seats while BJP won 25 seats.
In the 2014 J&K elections, the PDP entered into a post-poll alliance with BJP after none of the parties secured a simple majority. PDP was the single largest party in the assembly with 28 seats. It was followed by BJP (25), NC (15) and Congress (12).
