Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MP Supriya Sule has criticized Air India for what she described as "endlessly delayed" flights. In a recent post on X, Sule expressed her frustration over the frequent setbacks that travelers face, attributing them to what she perceives as "constant mismanagement" by the airline.
The NCP leader highlighted the disparity between the premium fares passengers pay and the alleged lack of quality in service they receive.
"Air India flights are repeatedly delayed—this is simply unacceptable! We pay premium fares, yet our flights are never on time. Professionals, children, and senior citizens alike are all affected by this ongoing mismanagement. I'm calling on the Civil Aviation Minister to take action and hold Air India accountable,” she wrote.
In another post, Sule shared that her Air India flight AI0508 was delayed by 1 hour and 19 minutes, which she attributed to be a "part of a continuous trend of delays affecting passengers."
"I was on Air India flight AI0508, which was delayed by 1 hour and 19 minutes—this reflects a continuous trend of delays impacting passengers. This is unacceptable. I urge the Hon'ble Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu to enforce stricter regulations to hold airlines like Air India accountable for these repeated delays and to ensure a higher standard of service for travelers," she added.
In response, Air India acknowledged the inconvenience and attributed the delay to "operational issues" that were beyond their control.
"Dear Ma'am, we understand that delays can be quite frustrating. However, there are occasional operational issues outside our control that can disrupt flight schedules. Your flight to Mumbai this evening was delayed by one hour due to such unforeseen circumstances. We appreciate your understanding," the airline stated.
