Varun Goel of Motilal Oswal Asset Management told CNBC-TV18, "As far as the overall processed food segment is concerned we see scope for a huge growth going forward. Both the biscuit segment and the dairy segment are something which definitely open huge scope for premiumisation. That is going to be a large trend going forward in the sense that people will begin to consume more and more of value added products be it on the dairy side and be it on the various snacks on the biscuit side.""India even today scrapes bottom of the value chain in terms of the kind of biscuits and snacks that we consume and incrementally we are going to see a huge premiumisation trend which is going to lead to continued expansion in EBITDA margins for the companies that are present in this phase. So, as a theme and as a sector we would continue to be bullish on it," he added.
