Prefer Infosys, Wipro, Tech Mahindra: Ajay Bodke

Ajay Bodke, head of investment strategy & advisory of Prabhudas Lilladher told CNBC-TV18, "A major chunk of our portfolio still continues to remain defensive. Domestic economy is bottoming out, but the tradable sector in our view should lead the resurgence in growth in the next couple of years and hence a portfolio that we are recommending will have a fair amount of tradable sector."

"IT should play a very dominant role, because not only is the currency tailwind helping the Indian IT industry, but the fact that the America is on the strongest footing and that is the largest market comprising 60-65 percent of total revenues, the volumes have come back, pricing power is back, but there is this niggle on what kind of immigration reforms the American congress will be able to pass," he said.

"I think the biggies like Infosys and Wipro is what we prefer in large caps along with Tech Mahindra and in the midcap space our picks would be companies like NIIT Technologies and on lower levels companies like Mindtree and Persistent Systems."
