According to Gautam Sinha Roy of Motilal Oswal Securities, Bharat Electronics (BEL) might not look attractive from a Budget perspective.

Sinha Roy told CNBC-TV18, "Given that fiscal deficit is running high and fiscal consolidation is definitely on the government’s agenda then the public sector spend on infrastructure as well as defense will definitely get impacted. So, stocks which are placed on that will be stocks where you should not take a long bias." "One example of that will be Bharat Electronics, which is a defense play. And you will have many construction companies, which get a substantial part of their order book from government capex and government spend on infrastructure. So maybe these names might not look attractive from a Budget perspective," Roy added.
