Chintels Paradiso case: One more tower of the housing complex in Gurugram declared ‘unsafe for living’ by safety audit report

This is the sixth tower that has been declared “unsafe to live” by the IIT Delhi structural audit report. Prior to this, towers D, E, F, G and H were declared "unsafe to live".

Tower J declared unsafe in Chintels Paradiso housing complex in Gurugram

One more tower in the Chintels Paradiso housing complex in Gurugram, where a portion of a sixth-floor apartment in a building in Tower D collapsed to the first floor in February 2022, was declared “unsafe for habitation” by the structural audit report submitted to the Gurgaon administration, officials said.

They said that the structural safety audit report of the tower J by a panel from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi, was submitted to the administration a few days back and was shared with the residents of the housing complex in sector 109 near Dwarka Expressway on January 19.

According to the IIT Delhi report, the structure of Tower J is “not safe for habitation” and must be evacuated immediately.
