Subsequently, the National Stock Exchange, in a circular issued on September 4, revised its schedule and notified that September 8 will be a settlement holiday.

As a result, while trading will take place as usual on Monday, market depositories — NSDL and CDSL — will remain shut. Settlement of trades executed between September 4 and September 8 will reflect in demat accounts only on September 9, and fund payouts will also be processed that day.
