The stock exchanges — BSE and NSE — will remain open for trading on Monday, September 8, though the day will be observed as a settlement holiday following a change in the Eid-e-Milad holiday date in Maharashtra.
The Maharashtra government on Thursday shifted the public holiday for Eid-e-Milad in Mumbai city and suburban districts from Friday, September 5, to Monday, September 8.
Subsequently, the National Stock Exchange, in a circular issued on September 4, revised its schedule and notified that September 8 will be a settlement holiday.
