Six to nine months back, they were highly euphoric and at that time the stock peaked out. I think now they are becoming excessively pessimistic when actually the economy seems to be on a decent turnaround path which will only gain steam next year." "L&T has got battered post results and the Chairman also gave some indication last month when he spoke very negatively and that was the first indicator that Q2 is not going to be great. So, we will see some more correction given the weakness in the overall market. However, it also remains one of the better long-term picks to play the recovery cycle," he said.ICICI Bank"Once Axis Bank results came in, people become excessively pessimistic on YES Bank and ICICI Bank. Those results came out to be pretty decent. I think ICICI Bank, given the fact that they could be monetising more of the joint venture investments over the next one year, growth is coming back into the bank and asset quality seems to be stabilising. I think that is one result which indicates that it could be a good bet going forward."ITC"From the recent results, ITC was disastrous. I think the FMCG strategy is very difficult to understand. At Rs 10,000 crore annual run rate, they are still making losses in the FMCG business except cigarettes. So, there is something clearly very wrong in their strategy and to that extent the stock should continue to be de-rated," he said."Among results last year, Dr Reddy's Labs stood out with very good performance. In the pharmaceutical pack, one is clearly seeing specific companies do well while a lot of others are not doing well. So, that company will continue to stand out and do well." "I think that in the recent results the entire auto pack looks well placed, so that should do well."
