HDFC Mutual Fund, managed by the HDFC Asset Management Company, has picked up additional over half a percent stake in Medi Assist Healthcare Services via open market transactions on December 19.

Despite stake buy, Medi Assist shares fell sharply by 6.87 percent to Rs 437 amid high volumes on the NSE.

HDFC Mutual Fund acquired 3.81 lakh shares (equivalent to 0.51 percent of paid-up equity) in Medi Assist that acts as a third-party administrator for managing employee health insurance for companies for Rs 16.5 crore at Rs 433 per share.

As of September 2025, HDFC Large and Mid Cap Fund already held 7.53 percent stake in Medi Assist.
