Don't think Greek contagion will spread: Juckes

In an interview to Lata Venkatesh of CNBC-TV18, Kit Juckes, global head of foreign exchange strategy, Societe Generale stated that he did not expect a big correction in the European yields. He highlighted the sense of uncertainty in the market, but assured that the crisis in Greece would not spread to the rest of Europe.

Q: Can you explain how the market will read this event? Will this be a default event? How will, for instance, the Euro or the Spanish and Italian yields move?


A: The International Swaps and Derivatives Association will decide whether this triggers the credit default swaps. I would say the odds favour that they will. I think that the integrity of the market will be questioned, if they don
