On what affected the European markets in terms of trade and if there was hope of an incremental recovery, Bruno Verstrate, CEO, Lakefield Partners says that global markets were preparing for some sort of pullback.

Regarding the dip in the European markets, Verstrate expects the fall to be relatively shallow and for a very short period of time. "It is only a matter of time before buying opportunities resume and investors return to the markets." Also Read: Asian markets sell off on Bernanke remarks, China PMI
Verstrate warns that the Europe is yet to recover from the crisis. "The confidence has not returned and that has been indicated by the earnings declared by companies in Europe and in the US. I think that will continue. Asian and American markets need to keep the motor of growth running."
