Budget likely to be neutral: ICICI Sec

Though most experts are not hoping the budget to be a game changer for the market, Anantha Narayan, Co-head Equities, ICICI Securities holds a different opinion. In an interview to CNBC-TV18, he said that the budget is likely to be a positive trigger for the market.

Most experts are not hoping the budget to be a game changer for the market. Anantha Narayan, Co-head Equities, ICICI Securities, in an interview to CNBC-TV18, said that the budget is likely to be a neutral one.

According to him, post the deal with British Petroleum, RIL will not see a significant upside. "The deal per se, besides the pop today, may not take the stock up to significantly in the near-term. But I think it essentially caps the downside," he explained. He feels that diesel deregulation is unlikely in current political environment.
