Indus Towers IPO likely next fiscal, says Idea Cellular

Sanjeev Aga Managing Director, Idea Cellular also informed that initial public offering (IPO) of Indus Towers is likely to come out by next fiscal.

Idea Cellular reported consolidated net sales up by 8.68% at Rs 3,952.6 crore for quarter ended December 2010 compared to Rs 3,636.7 crore for the previous quarter.

Its consolidated net profit was up by 35.22% at Rs 243 crore versus Rs 179.7 crore, QoQ. Speaking at a press conference, Sanjeev Aga Managing Director of Idea Cellular said average minutes of usage/user for quarter ended December 2010 stood at Rs 401 compared to Rs 394 for previous quarter. Meanwhile, average revenue/user came in at Rs 168 versus Rs 67 (QoQ).  The company added 7.6 million subscribers in quarter in focus. Aga said he expects FY11 capex at Rs 3,000 crore excluding 3G spectrum fees. On the much hyped mobile number portability (MNP), Aga stated, he does not expect it to be a
