Omkar Speciality Chemicals reported a steady first quarter. In an interview to CNBC-TV18, Pravin Herlekar, CMD of Omkar Speciality Chemicals discussed the company's Q1 performance.
Herlekar said that new segments like ceramics have done better.
He further said that pharma contributes 75 percent of revenue. We supply pharma products to likes of Cipla, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, he added.
Five percent revenue came from fragrance space in Q1, he said.
"Our margins are more or less consistent, plus-minus 1 percent and that is because of diversity of our products and diversity in customer base which gives us consistency, so even if there is a slowdown in one particular sector, it does not affect us. So our margins will be definitely maintained and growth will come from new launches," he added.
On conservative basis we are targeting at least 15 percent growth, said Herlekar.
He added that with new products coming in, exports likely to pick up sizeably.
