Destocking ahead of GST is a key overhang: Berger Paints

The Q4 of FY17 has been relatively a decent quarter for paint sector. Berger Paints has posted a stable set of numbers.

In an interview to CNBC-TV18, Abhijit Roy, MD & CEO of Berger Paints India spoke about the results and his outlook for the company.

Acquisition of Saboo Coatings is debt free, he said.

Speaking about destocking, he said that ahead of goods and services tax (GST), destocking is an overhang which remains in the system otherwise the company should comfortably sail through with a double digit volume growth.
