In continuation of the pricing war in the telecom space, Reliance Communication is set to cut all 4G, 3G, 2G service rates to the lowest in the industry, reports CNBC-TV18 quoting sources.
These are permanent price cuts and not promotional offers.
The company plans to cut 4G data price to Rs 49 from Rs 149 for 1 GB data, slash 3G prices to Rs 99 per month for unlimited data and revise 2G prices to Rs 49 per month for unlimited data.
RComm currently offers a 3G pack starting at Rs 123 for 1GB.
Taking RComm’s revised rates into cognizance, Airtel and Vodafone too may revise 4G base rates by April, say sources.
Airtel, Vodafone 4G base price pack starts Rs 250 for 1GB and that for Idea Cellular is Rs 255 For 1GB Data.
Revised prices may help RComm to increase its market share by 20 percent from 10 percentpost Aircel, MTS deal.
Moreover, RComm offers its 4G services pan-India through Reliance Jio network.
