Agra-Etawah project to begin from next year: IRB Infra

Virendra Mhaiskar, the company’s Chairman and Managing Director (MD) said the government’s target of building 30 km of highways a day is achievable.

IRB Infra has won two big orders from National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) this year. The company’s Chairman and Managing Director (MD), Virendra Mhaiskar told CNBC-TV18 that he expects the Agra-Etawah project to begin from next year. On the government’s new exit policy, Mhaiskar says that “was a much needed change.” According to the new policy, road developers can fully exit their equity investment for all projects after two years of construction. Furthermore, he says the government’s target of building 30 km of highways per day is achievable.
