The Supreme Court of Western Australia dismissed an application filed by Perdaman Chemicals and Fertilisers to restrain the company from mortgaging Griffin coal assets.

In an interview to CNBC-TV18, Vikas Rambal, CMD of Perdaman said, the application is dismissed on the basis of some promises made by Griffin Coal and Lanco that they have no intension to mortgage the property. "There is no impact on the main litigation of Perdaman with Lanco and Griffin," he clarified.

Q: What does Supreme Court mean when it talks about an application for a freezing order refraining Griffin from entering into a charger security without notice to Perdaman being dismissed?

A: The application had two purposes. One, injunction for putting any charges in Griffin Coal mines. The second was,
