RBI releases report on financial holding co structure

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) took the first step towards designing how financial conglomerates mutual funds, insurance etc should be structured. Its working group on financial holding companies has put out its report, reports Latha Venkatesh.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) took the first step towards designing how financial conglomerates mutual funds, insurance etc should be structured. Its working group on financial holding companies has put out its report, reports CNBC-TV18's Latha Venkatesh.

The report says financial holding company model can be for all financial groups. The report further says that there is a need to have separate regulatory framework for financial holding companies.
