While the rainy season brings its own joy with lush greenery and cool air, it’s not always convenient to step out when it’s pouring. However, there are ways you can protect yourself from getting drenched while staying fashionable, because gloomy days do not mean boring or uninspiring fits.

Here are a few rainy season essentials that will ensure you stay right at the top of your style game while remaining dry and comfortable.

Opting for fabrics such as rayon, polyester, or even linen is a good idea as they are light and can dry easily. Cotton or denim both tend to get heavy with water and make movement difficult.

Layering with light summer jackets and shirts works well in the season. Not only does it make you look chic, but it also adds a layer of protection, preventing you from getting wet in the rain.
Many find rain jackets awkward to wear. Swapping them for stylish, lightweight, and waterproof trench coats is always a good idea. They look stylish, especially when they are belted.
Tight-fitting clothes in the monsoons can make you feel uncomfortable if you get drenched. Instead, breezy styles like a co-ord set or a flowing dress make for stylish yet season-perfect picks.
Wearing ankle-touching fits may make you wet, but going too short is not ideal either in the monsoons. Try sporting cropped trousers or midi dresses to stay comfortable.
