This year's recruitment aims to fill 645 vacancies across various state government departments. A massive pool of over 5.53 lakh candidates (comprising 212,495 men, 341,114 women, and 25 transgender individuals) had applied for these positions, making the competition exceptionally fierce.
How to check TNPSC Group 2 Prelims Result?
Candidates can check if they have qualified for the mains examination by following these steps. No login credentials are required to access the result PDF.
Step 1. Visit the official TNPSC website at tnpsc.gov.in.
Step 2. On the homepage, find and click on the link that reads "Combined Civil Services Examination – II (Group IIA Services) – Preliminary Examination results are published" or a similar notification under the "Results" or "Latest Notifications" section.
Step 3. This will open a PDF file containing the list of registration numbers of candidates who have been shortlisted for the Main Written Examination.
Step 4. Use the Ctrl+F keyboard shortcut to open the find function and search for your registration number in the document.
Step 5. If your number appears in the list, you have qualified for the mains exam. Download and save the PDF, and take a printout for your future records.

Candidates who find their registration numbers in the result PDF have been provisionally admitted to the Main Written Examination. The TNPSC has already announced the detailed schedule for the mains exam, which differs for Group II and Group IIA Services.
