Botox is a minimally invasive cosmetic treatment that uses botulinum toxin to temporarily relax targeted muscles. This reduces the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and crow's feet, giving the skin a smoother, more youthful appearance. Additionally, Botox is an effective medical solution for conditions like hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) and chronic migraines. Its versatility, safety, and quick recovery time make it a popular choice for both aesthetic and medical applications.

Botox is no longer just a treatment associated with women seeking aesthetic changes. Men, too, are turning to Botox in increasing numbers to improve their appearance and address medical conditions. This growing trend reflects a shift in societal attitudes, with more men prioritising self-care, skin health, and aesthetic wellness.

Says Dr Nithin Vinod, Managing Director, Finesse Aesthetic, Chennai, “Botox treatments for men, colloquially called 'Brotox', have seen a significant rise in recent years. Men aged 25 to 50 are increasingly exploring Botox for reasons ranging from appearance enhancement to relief from medical conditions. We have at least 10-20 percent of Botox patients who are men, with many opting for treatments to smooth fine lines, reduce wrinkles, or tackle excessive underarm sweating.”
