She adds, “As per Ayurvedic principles, the change in weather during monsoon can disrupt the balance of your body's doshas (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha), making you susceptible to various illnesses such as colds, coughs, digestive issues, and respiratory problems. To maintain health and prevent illness, it is vital to adopt lifestyle and dietary practices that support the body's natural balance during this season.”

Dr Krishnan suggests the following remedies and herbs to help you stay healthy and strong during the rainy season:

Warm water: Drinking warm water throughout the day aids digestion and detoxification. It is vital during the monsoon as per Ayurveda. It helps balance the digestive fire (agni) and prevents toxin buildup in the body.
