According to a report by FilmiBeat, Parveen accused Amitabh of kidnapping her and even took legal action against him. The controversy erupted when Parveen, in an interview with a leading magazine, allegedly labeled Amitabh an "international gangster."
As per the report, Parveen claimed that Amitabh had hired goons to abduct her and that she was taken to an isolated island. She further alleged that during her captivity, a microchip was implanted under her ear through surgery. She allegedly said, "Amitabh Bachchan is a super international gangster. He is after my life. His goons kidnapped me and I was kept on an island where they performed a surgery on me and planted a transmitter or chip right under my ear."
Parveen Babi didn’t stop at just making allegations; she also reportedly filed a police complaint against Amitabh Bachchan and took legal action against him. However, after an investigation, Amitabh was given a clean chit, as it was revealed that Parveen had been diagnosed with schizophrenia.
