When asked about his excitement for hosting the show, Varun expressed a mix of thrill and awareness of the significant responsibility that comes with the role. "The biggest challenge of hosting a show where women have already done reality shows is that they have a host to compare to. I needed to come across as a very fair host," he stated. This commitment to fairness was not just a personal goal; it was a shared vision with the show's producers at Discovery. Varun mentioned, "I had a very nice long discussion with Discovery and Banijay about my ideologies, about having a reality show completely real and fair for everybody."

Prior to taking on this role, Sood contemplated his approach to hosting. Reflecting on his early career, he noted, "Back when I was 21 years old, I got my first job with MTV as a VJ. I knew that I had a big chance of hosting my own reality show."
