On Friday, Allu Arjun was taken into custody in connection with the tragic stampede at Sandhya Theatre on December 4, which occurred during the premiere of his latest film, Pushpa 2: The Rule.

In light of the incident, Varun Dhawan, who was in Jaipur to promote his upcoming film, has expressed his support for the Pushpa star Allu Arjun, asserting that the actor should not be held responsible for the entire situation, saying, "Safety protocols are not something that an actor can take on himself. We can tell people around us like I can talk about this only; Cinepolis has made a very good arrangement here, and we are grateful to them for that. And the incident that took place is very painful."

Dhawan emphasized that such incidents are often a result of multiple factors, and it would be unfair to blame the actor solely for what happened. He also highlighted that Allu Arjun's intention was never to cause harm, and the responsibility should lie with those managing the event and crowd control.

A tragic incident occurred on the night of December 4, where a 35-year-old woman lost her life, and her eight-year-old son was hospitalized after a massive crowd gathered at Sandhya Theatre to catch a glimpse of the actor.

The city police registered a case against Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management under sections 105 and 118(1) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at the Chikkadpally police station based on the complaint lodged by the deceased woman, Revathi's family.
